What is a Chain Hoist

How Does a Chain Hoist Work

Therefore, it lifts the load very slowly compared to a hydraulic hoist. At the end of the lifting chain, there is a holding hook for easy attachment and removal of a load. Also, most hoists have a latch or brake system that prevents the load from sliding back but allows lowering a load by pulling the other side of the hand chain.
