0656 Electronic Overload System

The BROSA 0656 Electronic System, used as an overload system in portals, ports, containers, rotating towers, and indoor cranes, detects sensor signals such as loads, angles, heights, and wind speed. These signals can be used to calculate the load to ensure the system shuts down in an emergency situation. Additionally, up to 4 load spectrum recorder options, each with 10 load ranges, are available as an option. These comply with FEM 9.511 and FEM 9.755 guidelines. The overload system can be used in category 2 PLd according to EN 13849 or SIL2 according to EN 61508. Customer-specific data can be easily read via an optional 4.3" or 7" diagonal color display. Direct communication of the 0656 Electronic System with a higher-level crane PLC is also possible via CANopen (Safety), PROFIBUS (PROFIsafe), or PROFINET (PROFIsafe). Data loggers and customer-specific interfaces can also be integrated upon request. The 0656 Electronic System comes with pre-installed FlexLim (Safe) firmware, allowing easy parameterization of defined applications by the commissioning engineer via PC in the field. Commissioning at BROSA can be ordered as an additional service. The 0656 Electronic System is offered in a robust housing certified to IP67/69k and can be mounted in control cabinets as well as open locations. Connection is possible for individual customers via a terminal strip or modules or interfaces.

BSCT

The BROSA System Configuration Tool (BSCT) allows for the individual configuration of applications on the computer. Various modules can be connected to implement overload protection according to customer requirements. Among others, CAN, constants, curves, mathematical and logical processors, multipliers, comparators, and digital inputs and outputs are available. BSCT enables the creation of application files that can later be transferred to the system via a serial interface (RS 232). BSCT software comes with a hardware lock.
