The recovery of non-ferrous metals is the economic basis of every recycling system. Our Eddy Current Separators with an eccentric pole system best meet this requirement. They are also prominent with high throughput volumes and durability. After various processes such as crushing, grinding, classification, and magnetic separation, our Eddy Current Separators facilitate the recovery of clean, non-ferrous metal mixtures containing aluminum, copper, zinc, or brass.

In its basic structure, an Eddy Current Separator consists of a short belt extension driven at the feed end. There is a rapidly rotating permanent magnet system at the discharge head pulley. While rotating, this pole system generates high-frequency, alternating magnetic fields. This causes strong eddy currents in conductive non-ferrous metal pieces. These materials create their own magnetic fields in opposition to the external fields. Non-ferrous pieces are directed away from the remaining material flow due to the force impulse. The eccentric rotor system developed by MT guarantees the highest efficiency, in other words, optimum separation and long-lasting operation.

Advantages of Eddy Current Separator;

The magnetic pole system, eccentrically placed on the head pulley of the Eddy Current Separator, concentrates exactly in the area where the material experiences the greatest force effect. It is located at the discharge point of the conveyor belt. The adjustability of the pole system allows this position to be configured in the most suitable way according to the current feed material. Thus, it maximizes the effect of the discharge parabola, further intensifying the force effect.

In concentric pole systems, the effect of the magnetic field generally starts very early, meaning that non-ferrous particles are separated from the magnetic field too early and are therefore inadequately directed. On the other hand, the eccentric pole system ensures that the effect of the magnetic field is at its highest level only at the moment of separation and that no field is created at other points of the conveyor drum. As a result, ferrous metals do not stick to these areas of the head pulley, minimizing wear on the belt and drum shell. This is a significant difference for concentric systems.
