40-42 Inch Rotary Pipe Cutting Machine
Reed Hinged RC42S
40-42 Inch Rotary Pipe Cutting Machine
-
Features
-
The pipe is cleanly broken when the operator finishes the cut.
-
Perfect for cold cutting.
-
Cut cold steel, most stainless steel, ductile, and cast iron pipes at close distances. A reasonable clearance is required for all models. (See the table on the right). Each cutter has a handle that allows the cutter to rotate around the pipe. This handle helps to tighten the cutter every half turn.
Ductile irons are the best manual cutters. With a long handle and good leverage, the wheel cleanly breaks the pipe before it enters halfway into the pipe. The frames of the cutters are resistant to heavy loads. All sizes use the same cutting wheels: RCS8-36 for steel/stainless steel and RCI8-30 for cast and ductile iron. RCX wheels can cut steel pipes with wall thicknesses up to 25/32".Why Reed?
Rotary™ cutters are an invention of Reed! Reed Rotary™ cutters cut pipes safely, easily, quickly, and at a low cost. They provide a solid cut and can be used everywhere: in trenches, underwater, in quiet areas, at heights, on pipe racks, etc. Reed Rotary™ cutters last for decades.

NOTE: S= Steel / Stainless steel; I= Cast and ductile iron; X= Schedule-80 steel. Wheels for cutters of the same size are interchangeable. Reed cutting wheels are recommended for Rotary™ Cutters and Low Clearance Rotary™ Cutters. Reed wheels are made from high-impact resistant steel in CNC machines and then precisely heat-treated. This results in thinner profiles and stronger blades, thus:
-
They cut ductile pipes and stainless steels quickly and easily
-
They last much longer
