The Tecnovac Athena Dual Drive is a groundbreaking solution in tray sealing technology. With its dual-chamber design, this machine doubles productivity and offers the flexibility to run two molds simultaneously, either identical or different. This unique functionality minimizes downtime and enables faster production. The molds are managed by a PLC system, and both mold sets are continuously kept heated, ensuring they are always ready. This feature increases production speed while significantly reducing the time allocated for mold changeovers.

The machine also ensures high precision during film opening and scrap winding processes. Two independent upper film unwinding and winding systems work automatically with integrated motorized rollers, ensuring flawless film centering. The film feed length can be adjusted by the PLC, which minimizes film waste and enhances production efficiency. With Siemens PLC, up to 10 different recipes for various tray and packaging options can be saved. This system allows for rapid changes in the production process and ensures more efficient machine operation.

Athena Dual Drive offers flexibility with the ability to work in three different modes. In vacuum + gas mode, it can reach a speed of 6 cycles per minute with a standard 100m³ pump, while in non-vacuum heat sealing mode, it can produce up to 10 cycles per minute. Additionally, in SKIN mode, it can process up to 4 cycles per minute with a 200m³ pump. This flexibility allows speed adjustments based on different production needs and takes into account the potential decrease in speed for special cases, such as liquid or volatile products.

Its modular design makes Athena Dual Drive compatible with any production line. Many options such as automatic feeders, product loading systems, and printers can be integrated into the production process. Moreover, features like volumetric dosing systems and multi-head scales ensure accurate product quantities during packaging. The automatic lid application system, metal detector weight control systems (check weigher), and separator belts are ideal for quality control at every stage of production.

Athena Dual Drive offers a wide range of options to ensure high-quality packaging. With packaging that has a high oxygen percentage (O2 > 21%), products can retain their freshness for an extended period, while printed film reading photocells ensure the accurate packaging of printed products. This machine provides solutions for sealing trays of all shapes and, particularly with features such as internal cuts and skin solutions, allows for more aesthetically pleasing and functional packaging.
