With technological advancements in filter press machines, more practical, more controlled, and fully automatic models have been developed.
The filter press machine is a special equipment that works on the principle of separating solid and liquid phases, generally used in sludge dewatering, oil dewatering (reducing waste volume, reducing the amount of water in the product), or filtration applications.
In the filter press plates, the slurry transferred by the pump is filtered through the cloths, leaving the solid materials in the gaps between the plates as the pressure increases.
At the outlet of the filter press, filter cake appears in the solid phase and filtrate in the liquid phase.
The filtration process is discontinuous; as the plates fill up, the system opens, and the formed filter cake is cleaned. Then the process is repeated.

Working Principle of the Filter Press
The solid-liquid mixture is transferred to the filter press with the help of a high-pressure pump. The solid-liquid mixture is filtered with filter cloths fitted on the filter press plates, and solid particles are collected between the filter plates. The liquid formed as a result of filtration is removed from the equipment.
The filter press plates compressed with high pressure and the cloths on them must be fed by pressure pumps.
The solid materials accumulated in the volume between the filter press plates should be disposed of by opening the plates and cleaning the materials between them.

The membrane filter press adopts TPE and can reach a maximum squeezing pressure of 2.5MPa, which will greatly reduce moisture content, save on drying costs, and increase production efficiency.
