Keep the following information in mind regarding Forklift Tires.
- The front tire of 3.0 Ton Diesel and Electric Forklifts is 28.9-15 pneumatic tire or Solid Tire. The rear tires are 6.50-10 pneumatic or solid forklift tires.
- The front wheel of forklifts is exposed to movement, grip, slipping, and braking effects, so wear formation is very high. The rear wheels cause wear due to friction with the ground during turning. (Except for Rear-Driven Forklifts)
- If your forklift has solid tires, removing or mounting the tire from the rim can be done with high-capacity special head presses.
- Wear of forklift tires and loss of tread will seriously affect your forklift's road grip. When the tread of your forklift tires wears out, you must have them replaced, or if it is on a flexible line, you should have the tread opened.
- When forklift tires wear unevenly or lose their flexibility, you significantly increase the risk of tipping over when loaded or unloaded. Additionally, tires that have lost their flexibility or are unevenly worn seriously affect the axle and connected components of the forklift. Your forklift can cause damage ranging from mechanical failures starting from tire wear.
- When your forklift tire wears out, the braking distance of the forklift changes, especially in rainy weather or during ramp climbs and descents, which can seriously lead to work accidents.
- Old Forklift Tires are also industrial waste. Make sure you deliver your used tires to a recycling organization that does not pollute the environment. If you are unaware of the fate of your used tires, your legal responsibility does not disappear.
- If your company manages the tire replacement process with its own means, special experienced personnel and equipment for forklift tire changes are required. Interventions by unlicensed individuals can cause serious accidents during forklift tire changes.
- If you are looking for an answer to the question of whether Solid Forklift Tires or Pneumatic Forklift Wheels are more suitable for my forklift. The advantages and disadvantages of these tires are as follows.
- Solid Forklift Tires do not create issues like tire punctures. If you work in an area with nails, etc., you will frequently waste time due to tire punctures, which also incurs costs.
- Solid Forklift Tires cannot make ground transitions as flexibly as pneumatic tires, so they create more vibration in the mechanical parts of the machine on uneven surfaces or rough areas, shaking the operator more.
- Due to the structural nature of solid tires, their contact with the ground is very minimal, resulting in very weak grip. Climbing ramps or wet ground grip is weaker.
- The lifespan of solid tires is longer compared to pneumatic tires.
- The price of solid tires is approximately twice that of pneumatic tires.
- Special presses are required for solid tire installation. It is very difficult to find in rural areas. Pneumatic tires can be repaired anywhere there is an air supply.
