800x800 mm Filter Press for the Chemical Industry is designed for solid-liquid separation and filtration processes used in suitable chemical industry applications.
During filtration, the liquid phase passes through the filter cloths and leaves the system, while solid particles are retained between the plates and form a filter cake. Machine specifications can be determined according to the characteristics of the product to be filtered and the required production capacity.
800x800 mm Chemical Industry Filter Press Construction
The machine frame is manufactured as standard from ST37 steel, while the feed section is made of AISI 304 stainless steel.
The filtration section is equipped with 800x800 mm PP Chamber filter press plates.
The number of plates can be determined according to the production capacity of the plant and the characteristics of the product to be filtered. This allows the filter press to be configured for different capacity requirements.
The filter plates are compressed by a hydraulic system. Forward and reverse movements of the hydraulic piston are controlled by the operator through the control panel.
How Does Filtration Take Place?
The product to be filtered is fed into the filtration section of the filter press by a pump. The filter cloths allow the liquid phase to pass through while retaining solid particles between the plates.
As filtration continues, the solids accumulate and form a filter cake. When the filtration cycle is completed, the hydraulic piston is retracted, the plates are opened manually by the operator and the filter cakes are discharged.
The separated filtrate can then be directed to a suitable point according to the existing process configuration of the plant.
System and Capacity Selection
Filter press capacity should not be evaluated only according to plate size. The solids content, particle structure, processing volume, filtration time and operating conditions should also be considered when selecting the appropriate capacity.

Filter Cloth and Sample Testing
Since the characteristics of products processed in the chemical industry may vary, selecting the correct filter cloth plays an important role in filtration performance.
Whenever possible, a filtration test is carried out using a product sample. The filtration behaviour, structure of the resulting filter cake and filtrate quality are evaluated. Based on the test results, suitable filter cloth and machine specifications can be determined.
