PFIB series test machines enable static tests to be performed on supports and concrete sleepers (ties).
TEST STANDARDS
The FIB series allows testing in accordance with major international standards, including but not limited to:
EN 13230-2, EN 13230-3, EN 13230-4, AREMA section 30, AS 1085.14, etc.
Test Area
-High rigidity design including standard bending device (3 point).
-Hydraulic system and actuator optionally, additional test devices such as: pulling, compression, etc. can be included.
Hydraulic System and Actuator
-Featuring a new eco-hydraulic system that provides significant advancements in terms of efficiency (up to 40% higher) based on instantaneous test load, adaptable flow and pressure control compared to traditional hydraulic control systems, ensuring longer life, less maintenance, and lower oil consumption.
-Closed loop control of force and motion with a high-response servo valve.
-Thanks to integration with test software, it is possible to automatically perform safe shutdown operations, control the operating time of the hydraulic facility for scheduled maintenance, and digitize all alarms of the hydraulic system.
-Dual acting, double rod hydraulic cylinder (symmetrical partition). The piston is coated with a friction-reducing material and driven by a hydrodynamic cushion. A contactless sealing sleeve provides very low friction and minimum rod slip.
-Low friction 2nd stage sealing and scraper designed to allow any high movement frequency at high speed.
Control Electronics
-The system includes new MD2i control electronics with 24-bit resolution and 2.5 kHz shutdown loop frequency for fast and accurate control of test parameters. This means that minimum force or deformation variations can be observed during the test, among other advantages.
Force Transducer (Load Cell)
-High rigidity force transducer for static testing.
Stroke Transducer
-Digital linear position sensor, digital output, resolution 1 µm.
Safety
-Integrated complete system alarms with control software for safety stops and test protection (Temperature, Oil level, Dirty filter detection, pressure filter, maximum pressure, etc.).
-Hydraulic piston safety lock system that immediately stops the piston in case of electrical failure to protect the system and test sample.
Maintenance and Support
-Smart maintenance system that evaluates the situation and counts operating hours to alert the user about all necessary preventive and corrective maintenance operations.
Options:
-UCRD-6i remote control (optional), allows simple tests without a computer. 15 Function keys: Up, Down, Stop, open and close jaws, configurable keys for precise motion control (machine control) and DigiPoti.
Bending Static Tests
-Positive load test on the rail set section
-Negative load test on the middle section
-Positive load test on the middle section
The load is applied perpendicular to the base of the sleeper.
The sleeper must undergo a test routine with increasing load steps without cracking continuously.
