Belt-mounted magnets are hung over conveyors to separate ferrous metals. Available as permanent magnet and electromagnetic designs. Recent investments in production techniques and magnet technology have allowed us to offer the most comprehensive range of belt-mounted magnetic separators with the highest performance levels. There are two types of permanent magnets that create magnetic fields with different densities.

Ferrite Magnets;

They offer more depth of field and work efficiently even at great distances from the conveyor belt. Typically used when the size of the processed ferrous material to be separated is above 30 mm. They have the best quality and price ratio.

Neodymium Magnets;

They are significantly stronger than Fe magnets and therefore guarantee maximum induction for the removal of iron-containing materials. They work best at short distances from the conveyor belt. Their use is recommended when the processed ferrous material to be removed is smaller in size.

Advantages of Magnetic Metal Separator;

Permanent magnetic belt-mounted metal separators and electromagnetic metal separators are used to remove unwanted metals from conveyors. Belt-mounted metal separators consist of a main magnetic block, belt-mounted separator, belt ring, motor, and magnetically insulated steel chassis. The steel chassis of MS and EMS series magnetic separators is magnetically insulated and does not attract unwanted metals. They are produced in different capacities depending on the application.

Magnetic and Electromagnetic Metal Separators designed for continuous operation;

The central magnet creates a magnetic field directed towards the waste flow on the conveyor belt. Iron materials magnetized with opposite polarity are attracted by the magnet and thus removed from the waste flow. The extraction belt of the separator is equipped with transverse wedges that push the extracted ferrous metal towards the discharge point. Here, the intensity of the magnetic field gradually decreases to facilitate metal release.  The pulling force of the separator varies depending on many factors such as:

Type of Fe material to be removed;

Shape and size of Fe metals (cylindrical/spherical/flat);

Weight/volume ratio of the Fe metals to be extracted;

Ratio between the size of the inert processing material and the size of the Fe metal;

A belt-mounted electromagnetic separator is typically mounted or hung over a conveyor belt or a vibrating feeder. It can be mounted crosswise (diagonally) or parallel (inline) to the material flow.
