Compared to other glass cutting processes (CNC, water jet), this method is preferred to reduce stress on small glass parts during cutting, and to avoid applications that put load on the glass. Also, compared to cutting methods used in water jet glass cutting applications, there is a significant cost advantage in cutting only using air consumption during cutting.
