Cut large diameter steel, most stainless steel, ductile and cast iron pipes cold at close distances. A reasonable clearance is required for all models. (See the table on the right). Each cutter has a handle that allows it to rotate around the pipe. This handle helps to compress the cutter every half turn.
Ductile irons are best suited for manual cutters. With a long handle, good lifting allows the wheel to cut the pipe cleanly before it enters halfway into the pipe. The frames of the cutters are resistant to heavy loads. All sizes use the same cutting wheels: RCS8-36 for steel/stainless steel and RCI8-30 for cast and ductile iron. RCX wheels can cut steel pipes with wall thicknesses up to 25/32”.

NOTE: S= Steel / Stainless steel; I= Cast and ductile iron; X= Schedule-80 steel. Wheels for cutters of the same size are interchangeable. Reed cutting wheels are recommended for Rotary™ Cutters and Low Clearance Rotary™ Cutters. Reed wheels are made from high-impact resistant steel in CNC machines and then precisely heat-treated. This results in a thinner profile and a stronger blade, thus:
