How Does a Screw Compressor Work

Screw compressors are typically used for low-pressure applications up to 8 bar. The rotating screw elements include a casing, an air filter, rubber seals, suction, and discharge valves. One shaft is driven by a motor, and the other drives the shaft. The drive shaft is connected to the driven shaft with timing gears that help match the speeds of both shafts.
