500x500 mm 20-Plate Industrial Filter Press

500x500 mm 20-Plate Filter Press is designed for solid-liquid separation and filter cake formation in various industrial filtration processes.

During filtration, the liquid phase passes through the filter cloths while solid particles are retained between the plates and form a filter cake. Machine specifications can be determined according to the characteristics of the product and the required capacity.

500x500 mm 20-Plate Filter Press Construction

The machine frame is manufactured as standard from ST37 steel, while the feed section is made of AISI 304 stainless steel.

The filtration section is equipped with 500x500 mm PP Chamber filter press plates.

This model is configured with 20 plates. For different capacity requirements, the number of plates and machine specifications can be determined according to the production capacity and product characteristics.

The filter plates are compressed by a hydraulic system. Forward and reverse movements of the hydraulic piston are controlled by the operator through the control panel.

How Does Filtration Take Place?

The product is fed into the filtration section of the filter press by a pump. The filter cloths allow the liquid phase to pass through while retaining solid particles between the plates.

As filtration continues, the solids accumulate and form a filter cake. At the end of the cycle, the hydraulic piston is retracted, the plates are opened manually and the filter cakes are discharged.

System and Capacity Selection

Filter press capacity should not be evaluated only according to plate size. Solids content, particle structure, processing volume, filtration time and operating conditions should also be considered.

This 500x500 mm 20-plate model can be used for specific capacity requirements. Different plate quantities can be selected for projects requiring lower or higher capacities.

Filter Cloth and Sample Testing

Since product characteristics and particle structure may vary, selecting the correct filter cloth plays an important role in filtration performance.

Whenever possible, a filtration test can be carried out using a product sample. The filtration behaviour, filter cake structure and filtrate quality are evaluated to determine suitable filter cloth and machine specifications.
