MBS CB-30 Turbocharger Balancing Machine

The MBS CB-30 is a high-precision balancing machine designed for balancing control and correction of large-frame turbocharger cartridges (CHRA) at high speeds close to their actual operating conditions. Accommodating cartridge diameters from Ø 43 mm to 105 mm and an operating speed range of 30,000 to 250,000 rpm, it delivers accurate and reliable balancing for passenger car, commercial, and heavy-duty vehicle turbocharger cartridges.

The system operates via pneumatic air and oil drive, with the required air supply delivered by an 8 – 10 bar compressor. Thanks to matching nozzle and flange sets, it adapts quickly to different turbocharger models. The MBS Balans iBalancer Turbo software automatically retrieves the selected turbocharger data from its internal database and performs the measurement at 250,000 rpm in approximately 1.5 seconds. Correction is carried out by grinding the turbo nut according to the unbalance mass and angle displayed on the screen.
