How multihead weighers operate:

There are hoppers which might be described as containers holding the product to be weighed. The number of hoppers on a multihead weigher can vary and each hopper is connected to a weighing head.

Weighing Heads are precision scales responsible for measuring the weight of the product in each hopper. Multihead weighers use load cells as the weighing mechanism.

The controller of the multihead weigher manages the entire weighing process. The load cells in each weighing head measure the weight of the product in the corresponding hopper. This information is sent to the controller. It calculates the optimal combination of weights from individual hoppers to achieve the target total weight. The controller then commands the hoppers to release their contents simultaneously, allowing for a fast and accurate filling of the product.
